Our purpose is to develop a modern depot for repair of rolling-stock.
Vilnius locomotive depot of AB “Lietuvos geležinkeliai” was reorganised into two companies, and a subsidiary company UAB “Vilniaus lokomotyvų remonto depas“ was established on 1 October 2003. The reorganisation was performed in compliance with the requirements of the Directive 2001/12/EEC of the European Parliament and of the Council. The purpose of these requirements was reorganisation of the rolling-stock sector by separating the operating activities from the rolling-stock repair works, acceleration of modern equipment implementation and development of a modern depot for repair of rolling stock.
