Semi-trailer transport
Transport of hauler semi-trailers by rail is one of the popular methods of transport, where hauler semi-trailers are loaded onto trains using special equipment. At intermodal terminals, the semi-trailers are loaded back onto the haulers in order to deliver the freight “to the client’s door”.
Benefits of semi-trailer transport by rail for society and clients
Environmental Protection
- The negative impact on the environment is reduced – 76% of all environmental pollution is caused by freight transport by road, 12% by air transport, 10% by water transport, and only 2% by railway transport.
Safety
- Many traffic accidents are avoided;
- Low dependence on weather conditions leads to safer and more reliable freight transport in all seasons.
Efficiency

Prospects for further development of the service
- Expanding semi-trailer transport to Western and Northern European countries;
- By combining transport of various types, increases the range of “door-to-door” freight delivery options to any point;
- Actively contributes to one of the fundamental European aspirations: reducing the impact on the environment in the transport sector, primarily by increasing transport by rail.
